Part of my Graffiti Series. While doing some birding, my fiance and I

found this really great graffit under a bridge... small town graffiti can rival

    big city stuff any day.

I really like the photographer taking a picture of another photographer. This photo is actually really descriptive of the "world middle class" in 2009. Wonderful job.

FINALLY! Something I haven't seen before! And, not only have I never seen anything like it - it's wonderfully executed. The lighting is just amazing.

Lovely light. I really like the off-center decision. It somehow brings out the lines of the architecture. Wonderful abstract feel.

For some reason this photo makes me laugh. I don't know if it's the expression on the pheasant's face or what... but, somehow this picture is just hilarious to me. I love the DOF and how you caught this bird so crisply. Really well done.

If the pinecone was slightly more off-center, I think it would be aesthetically perfect. I love the color saturation and textures. But, the "centering" of the pinecone - somehow makes the photo seem awkward to me. But, that's me - I mean, if it's your vision to have it centered - then to you it looks perfect - and that's all that matters :)
  1. This is a stunning portrait. Soft light makes her face look more porcelain and the lack of a forced environment and facial expression are favorites of mine. Couldn't love this more. Colors are great. And, I love the outfit. The cute little ring makes the whole picture for me. You can tell she dresses herself - which adds to the "character" you're capable of seeing with photo. Great job.
  2. There's some great framing here. Snow backgrounds can be REALLY difficult to photograph well. You have to adjust for the extra light etc. Getting those white swans to be so clear is awesome. Plus, I love the black abyss to the left - the way the snow melts into it like frosting or something. Neat photo.

The eyes are extremely engaging. I love the way the rest of the portrait is deep and dark and then the eyes just gleam out at you. Really cool.
  3. Very interesting. I usually don't like a whole lot of manipulation in photos, but I commented on this one because I really like the framing, the work on the eyes, and the right side of the mouth. The high key works great on that right side of the mouth. Awesome.

It in indeed really interesting. Great shot. Nice moment. I love the off-center approach. The Sepia type black and white works great here.

Really wonderful. I haven't commented on much lately on P.Net because stuff just hasn't moved me at all. But, finally, this is something that is crisp, clean, nostalgic, and well framed. I like the composition a lot. Cool photo.

This one is better than the one you have up for critique... because in my opinion it is more in focus and shows a pattern of some kind - which is interesting to the eye. But, in both I find the lack of emotion disappointing. There were patterns in the bones of altars and hearts etc... that might have added to the emotion behind the images - thereby moving the viewing more with the image. These seem to be simply bone details. Do you have any others that you haven't put up yet?
