Very nice macro. I like the hint of other's around it. The depth may be just a touch shallow but that may have been what you were going for. I'm kinda a fan of the main subject being all "in" and the others being all "out" of focus.

I spent some time carefully compressing this image. Photo.net took what I did, and really compressed it hard. I uploaded a 100k-ish file and its now 21k. With most files this isn't a big deal but that red ball suffers greatly from it.To see the full image without added compression visit: www.astrowonders.com/magicstuff
Thanks!

Ok actually I went to recrop it and my wife reminded me that it really is tipped that way. If you see the little one in the back thats straight. Opinions?

We were on a tour of the geyser basin when this geyser went off. I had a very stupid moment that allowed me to get the shot, but at the same time caused me to get pretty wet. I thought that if I was following the rules and was on the boardwalk, I was far enough away not to get hit. Wrong.
Thats why we have protective filters. Mine was toast after this sequence of shots. The water has silicate in it that bonded to the glass and made perma waterspots.
On another note I just noticed it isn't very level and could use some straightening, but I'll leave it as is for now.
Thanks for looking/commenting.

I just found this image after over a year. I'm interested in what
people think about it.
