Love the atmosphere, details are great to make this - chain, tattoo, torn poster. Excellent.

Locals as seen through a carved marble screen at Fatepur Sikri,
India. Selective color adjustment in PS.

Not sure I would be sitting there if I had stacked this! Sera
Monastery, Tibet.

Jama Masjid in Delhi is the largest mosque in India and capable of
holding 25,000 people. Completed in 1658, it is constructed of
alternating marble and red sandstone. Looked into staying for
evening prayers but they were asking $200 to take photos (which is
fair enough).

This kid showed us around his monastery close to Mingun Paya, just
across the Ayeyarwady River from Mandalay. The Buddhist monasteries
provide a form of social welfare and education to many that is not
available through the state.

Love the composition - interesting how the long shutter speed and dark water also give the ocean a sense of evaporation!

Thank you for your comments, appreciate it.

Seastack at Cannon Beach, Oregon.

Taken at dawn when the moat was still frozen. Bodium has the
classical castle design although was never involved in any actual
warfare. Hopefully the framing gives this a somewhat medieval
effect.

Rennovations on Grand Central have just been completed (almost) so
headed out, dodged traffic and ended up with this version of the New
York classic......

Tried to get rid of the pixilation on the nun's outline but failed!
Not on the original scan of 35mm velvia or initial web version and
only appears when downloaded. Otherwise slightly desaturated this
image to give it a bit of an old world feel that this impressive,
overgrown temple complex in Ankor Wat invokes.

Thanks for your comments - took a shot of the central ridge and slope without the dune to the right (although also without the skyline) so will also post this shot to see if this is an improvement.

Interesting experience hiking up a huge Namib sand dune in the pitch
black and through dense fog to be able to catch sunrise. 30 mins
later the fog had completely burnt off.

Taken on a very windy and very cold day.........

Halong Bay is a UN World Heritage site in northern Vietnam. Ha long
means 'where the dragon descends into the sea' and it wouldn't
surprise me if it this was happening this very evening.

It was taken just after sunrise on a freezing cold morning!
But having said that, I've never had any problems taking photos in NYC even when using a tripod. I believe on the Brooklyn Bridge the only concern would be the risk of being run over by bikes and joggers at any time other than sunrise.

Think a combination of velvia, polarizer and dawn gave this a bit of
a x-processed effect as this is as on the slide!
-
Spencer, appreciate you pointing this out, yes, very evident halo on this which I should have seen! Have corrected this so need to see if it is possible to substitute the photo without resubmitting!

Pashupatinath in Nepal is one of the most important Shiva temples on
the Indian sub-continent so attracts many Sadhus, wandering Hindu
holy men. This image has been adjusted in PS.
