I love my MP Leica with the Summilux 50mm lens. But in my country developing and films are getting very expensive.
So, I decided to buy a digital camera. And I will still use my Leica in very special occasions.
I choosed the EOS Canon T2i because it has a nice sensor/fullframe and 18MP. and it is not so heavy.
I would like to have your opinium, about the best lens to buy? I am choosing between the EF 1.4 f 50mm USM
and the EF 28-135mm 305-5.6 f IS USM
It would be perfect to have both lenses , but I have to choose only one in this moment.
Four points are relevant for me: price / light weight/ viewfinder and luminosity.
My preferences in photograph are street and portraits.
Thanks for your advices.

I had made my decision in buiyng a Lumix GF1, when suddenly I heard about the Cannon T2i!?!
Both range in same price.
I need a versatil camera; I like street photography, so light weight and viewfinder are extremely important for me.
I do not like to shot through the LCD .
I will be very thankful for any kind of suggestion.
I thank you all for the nice advices and comments about my doubt and decision to make.
I had a Nikon D70 wich was ok. But I prefer analogic rather than digital cameras.
I really love my rangefinder Leica MP with the Summilux 50mmBut ,but for sure, I cannot run away from having a digital camera, because in Brazil films and developping are getting very expensive.
The viewfinder is very important for me . Beeing directly in contact with the object or scene makes me feel in my own world.
I am looking for a light camera that gives me quality. I have seen the G11 results and they are really great.
The Lumix GF1 is not so easy to find here,in Brazil, I have never had one in my hands , but I have a Leica Dlux 3 , so Lumix is familiar to me
Anyway all your comments are very nice, and they are helping in this decision.
Thanks again! Marianne

Thanks to Everybody. All comments helped me a lot. It is very nice to hear from ones who have knowledge in this matter.
1. Leica + Summilux are gorgeous and THEY will always be very important in my photographs "journeys" , and... also makes part of my life.
2. The T2i will be a new way to discover other horizons.
3. I will probably start with an 17/55 mm f2.8 and as soon as I have this images I will tell you what are my impressions.
In fact I prefer a very portable equipment.
Regards, and thanks again for your time
