i'm in honolulu, not sure if any store here stocks has that lens in stock

-

maybe because it's 'undamped'?

-

i'm referring to the focusing ring, but not the focusing rotating motion having a 1mm play, but the ring itself, as it attaches to the rest of the lens, my 200mm prime and 17-40 zoom have their focusing rings attached perfectly tight

-

ok, i'll try again, not the ring itself, but the whole front part that turns, has maybe 1mm of play, when you press it from left to right/top to bottom..., cant explain it properly...

hi

i just got the 85mm f/1.2 II from amazon
and the manual focus ring has maybe 1mm play in it
not the focusing movement itself, but the whole ring is kinda loose, doesnt seem to be a problem though
is that normal?

thanks

don't want to sound rude, but Bob couldn't be more wrong :)
-
so this is a common problem? can i prevent it somehow? :) i have the lens for over a year now
-
the guy recommending those snake.skin straps.... < ok, thats my LOL of the day :)
-
i would get the cheapest possible body that performs, and that for me is 350d, forget about 20d/30d, and only get 5d if you need FF for wideangles or the extra stop you get with 5d's better ISO. 70-200 zooms are the bomb, but they are all just too heavy for my wrists, so i got a 200mm prime instead. If you dont want the IS version, you might also save some money and get the sigma 70-200, which opticaly is as good imho, although to be future.proof, you might want to only invest in canon gear.
-
i would suggest saving on the body, and getting a 350d instead. If i had to choose between the two lenses, i would probably get the 17-55/f2.8 IS

wonder how come f30 is not yet listed here http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Fujifilm/
-
so $1150 in the US
-
1300 Euro for an EF-S lens? wtf?
-
i would pick sigma 70-200 2.8 for 789.00
-
i would also wait to see what new lenses will canon introduce, wonder whats with their viral.marketing people, that we still dont have any 'leaked' .PDFs
-
if i needed to do all what you mentioned, i would get a 100mm macro :) would cover products, portraits, and maybe even street candidts, beeing a short telephoto, alhough slower to focus...
-
so just to make sure, these ZF lenses for nikon, they are still manual focus and manual aperture? and did they have adapters for the original contax zeiss lenses in the nikon world?
-
have you considered sigma 70-200 f/2.8 or a canon 200mm f/2.8 prime?
-
you might as well get the 350d, and save some more money, no real life difference for me between the two, and i find XT to be more sexy :)
-
EOS 20A and Fuji S3 can do what? let the LCD be used as a viewfinder?
-
anyone bought any of these? <a
which one should I get? any reason to go with an expensive novaflex
adapter for 150euro vs a cheap one from ebay?
Thanks

and is this only the 5D sensor, or is it the same story with 1Ds and even tele lenses vignetting?
-
can you see that distance info in irfanview or some other exif viewer? my 200mm prime should also report it, but i cant find it in the exif...
