1.
I ran into the same problem it either locks up or goes to a blue screen and restarts the pc. Follow this adobe kb article and it should help you out. I set all my caches settings to max size so that has minimized recurrance of the problem for me. This version of Bridge may still be buggy for some upgrades. I found reinstalling made no diff.
3.
Maybe it's just a coincidense but I have found that anytime the Subaru banner ad is on the web page I have to back button click at least three times get out of the page. On my system that seems to be the only time it happens. Thought this might help.

  4.
I recently ran across a similiar problem, but it was happening with all web sites. It would try and push you to a site to buy an anti-virus program. Suggest you search your harddrive for these 2 files. Sysguard.exe and iehelper.dll. If you find them on the drive, open your Windows Task Manager and look at the processes tab and see if sysguard.exe is running. Next time you have the pop-up come across check for this exe file running under the task manager, leave the pop-up open and then kill the sysguard.exe process from the task manager's end process controll button, the open pop-up should close. There are more detailed instructions avialable on the internet malware sites about these files if you have found them on your system. Hope this helps.

  5.
I have been having the same problem using the back button inside the galleries pages mostly after drilling down into the portfollio level and looking at other photos by the photographer. I tested the same web pages using Netscape 8.1.3 no problems at all. Using IE 8.0.6 has the problems. Checked the settings inside IE and could not find anything that made a change to fix it. I think the web page developer needs to do some testing for compatability issues with the new IE8 updates. This problem is only on the Photo.net site on my system. I run XP SP3 for the OS if this info helps.

  6. Yes, both were properly identified and configured by the software. But again my question is, If I adjust an image to look good under my lcd panel and when I look at it under the crt and it appears to have lost brightness and contrast, then I must assume what I see on the crt is what anybody with a calibrated crt will see and do I need to adjust the image till I get the results needed for presentation on a crt? I'm not even going into trying to print, since that would be to big a problem to get a profile calibrated for it using these monitors. Which monitor should be the standard to measure by? With most new systems coming from the OEM with an lcd now, I would assume eventually the majority of the public will be using them and not worry about the crt.

    Thanks for the response.

  7. I recently purchased the Spyder3 Elite calibration system and have used it to

configure my dual monitor pc system. Since one monitor is an lcd and the other

a crt, can I assume that they are configured to be the same for color display?

There is a difference in the displayed images on the lcd versus crt you can see

that the lcd is brighter than the crt. But since both have the same or close

gamma and color configurations, what is the problem? Please see the attached

jpg showing the Spyder results. Any Spyder/Calibration experts out there, this

could help a lot of people, as to which monitor do you work your images on for

final display or distribution. Any ideas what to do would help.

    Thanks

  8. I have run into a similar issue with my E300 when shooting low lite for long exposures. I would have to say it's noise being picked up on the sensor from it trying to determine the intensity or color of the lite at that point on the sensor. I found by reducing the time it reduced the noise. Best I can offer for advise.
