i'm glad this query has come up.some days ago,i had posted a picture called 'the beach' and though i don't fool myself to think i created a masterpiece but it definitely was not 3/3 material.and when our anonymous friend rated it a 3/3 i was a little angry.i have been rated a 3/3 many many times before but took it as that person's opinion.this time i decided not to take it and did put up a comment asking the person who had rated it 3/3 to explain why they did,so i could at least be informed of their opinion and how they thought i could improve my image.of course the said person never replied and i felt a little guilty afterwards of having reacted that way,and removed my comment.but nevertheless i do agree with will king that this a problem that needs to be addressed because it's obviously not someone with an opinion but someone just screwing around(excuse my french).i feel one solution would be that any 3/3 rating should come with a critque otherwise the rating shouldn't be allowed.most of us on this site are here to display our work and get feedback,and ratings are one form of it.i don't necessarily want to know 'who' gives 3/3 ratings but 'why' they've been given.
