My concern was indeed about vignetting. Do you think vignetting will happen with the Canon EF-S 18-55 mm or Canon EF 75 - 300 mm ? Should I get the wide lens version of the Cokin holder for the short lens ? Is anyone using Cokin P system with this lens ?

I'm planing to buy a set of filters and I have a couple of questions:

- Will the Cokin P filter holder + the 77 mm adapter ring work in

combination with a 58 - 77 mm step up ring ?

- Can I stack the Cokin P system on top of a round threaded circular

polarizer filter ?

I want to buy my first tripod. My original budget was $100 (US) but

after reading the forum posts I decided I might increase that to $130

in order to be able to get either a Bogen / Manfrotto 3011 with 3025

3D Head or a Slik Pro 700DX. I have 3 questions:

1/ If you know the particular models I'm talking about which one do

you recommend ?

2/ Is having independently spreadable legs an important feature (the

Bogen doesn't seem to have it) ?

3/ Is it worth spending more money on these tripods because they are

upgradeable (may take better heads) or should I just pick an under

$100 tripod that would fit my original budget and would also be lighter?

My camera is a Canon Digital Rebel and my biggest lens is Canon EF

75-300mm f/4.0-5.6.
