Can anyone tell me what equipment, in the form of CD/Tape player, is
suitable for use with a Hasselblad projector? The manufacturers were
most vague. I have absolutely no experience with AV presentations and
any tips would be appreciated.

I may have missed reviews of this camera. I would be interested in
comments about its strength and weaknesses. Black & White reportage
would be my main usage. What is it like on the hoof? Is it user
friendly, reliable and robust? Does it chew batteries, have a
slow/fussy autofocus, fiddly controls? Is the zoom useful or are the
fixed focal lengths a better bet/lens. Is the Mimaya 7 a superior
alternative?

I have now obtained the information about the development of Delta
3200 with AcuLux 2 from Paterson directly.

Dilution 1+5 at 20 Celsius Gbar 0.57:
800 ASA=9min,
1600ASA=11min,
3200ASA=13min,
6400ASA=15min and
12,500ASA=18min.
They comment that pushing the film to the higher speeds will
compromise contrast quality

An alternative is to use dilution 1+9 at 24Celsius and the times are
identical

I hope I am not missing the point of your question. The D40 functions
satisfactorily on the flash-shoe section of a PME-90 Prism. This
serves merely as a mechanical mount and does not contribute to the
electronic activation/regulation of the flash. These functions of
course are provided by the leads passing to lens and camera body
respectively.

Anyone any experience with Delta 3200 film developed in Paterson
Chemicals such as Acutol/Aculux? What speed did you rate the film at?
Alternative suggestions would be welcome.

Can anyone suggest a suitable book for me on B&W dark-room
techniques?
I consider myself a borderline "intermediate"/"red-run" printer.
I do not want to read another book about types of enlarger.
Although reasonably mathematically minded, I would rather not wade
through a detailed account of "Dmax".
As a surgeon, information that does not alter my practice is fairly
irrelevant. Tips and hints are, however, invaluable. The same
applies to photography.
I am familiar but inexpert with the basic toning techniques.
I use split-contrast printing but without finesse.
How does one adjust the basic "correct" exposure at contrast-2, to
take account of using contrast 3.5 and 0.5?
Why 3.5 and 0.5, why not 4 and 1, etc....
Is there a mathematical relationship or is it trial and error?
How best to plan test-strips?
And so on. Many may have passed through this stratum/level and I
would be very grateful for suggestions about suitable reading.
Or, is it just practice?

Hasselblad D40 Flash; good bad or indifferent? Comments welcomed as I
am looking for a new flash since running over my old one (that's
another story!!)

Powerpoint to medium format slides (120). Is this service available
anywhere? I wish to have text/graphics slides for a presentation in
this format rather than 35mm.
-
Generally 120film is returned unmounted.
Gepe supply a large range of slide-mounts (6x6 included)
I am sure these are widely available but I get mine from KJP
-
All photography clubs I have contacted in the South East (UK) are not able or willing to admit MF slides for week to week presentation. Much sucking of teeth. Suggestions have included chopping up my slides to fit 35mm holders, reshooting or copying. Very discouraging. Is there a group in SE (Kent, Sussex, Surrey) who welcome or specialise in this format?
Workshops - Spring 2000
in Medium Format
Posted
Can anyone recommend a workshop (Europe/Americas) early next Spring?
Subject matter not wild-life preferably, landscape fine,
people & documentary ideally.
Of course I shall be shooting medium format, or else my message will
be rapidly deleted from the forum!!! Information will be much
appreciated.
