Slithering through the rocks... blonde-phase Northern Pacific
rattlesnake.

A Mojave Green rattlesnake's venom is highly potent enough to kill
ten people - the venom is so strong it deteriorates muscle tissue
and paralyzes your nervous system. Often, you can see prey still
breathing as it is swallowed whole and paralyzed.

And yes, Brad, I did have to stir her up a bit for this shot, but she's a feisty one even when the lid of her cage opens - her senses go into HIGH GEAR so I must be careful, wouldn't wanna get bit by 1/2" fangs!
