I was happy with the results of my itchy shutter finger. Any comments
or suggestions?
-
Magnificent picture - light, light, light!
-
Hi Alain and Danielle - thanks for the postive comments. Having seen it on another monitor, I would say I saturated it too much so will have another crack at it soon!

Was driving home and decided at the last moment to take some snaps.
Glad I did! You can just make out the World Cup stadium on the left.
Thanks for looking!

Glad I did! The hills on the left are know as Lion's Head and Lion's
Rump because of their profile.
Thanks for looking!

Hi Jeff -
Thanks for your comments - I really appreciate some constructive suggestions. I have a few others from this session that I can play around with to try out your ideas.
As for the shy little car peeking around the corner - he's just jealous!
-
A mesmerising image - inspirational as stuff usual!

Any comments or suggestions?
Please view larger for sharpness!
Thanks

Hi Boeboe -
I agree with both of your suggestions - I should be able to work on the first one from my RAW file.
-
Oh man - I can almost see drops running onto my keyboard! Love the movement and the detail.
-
I agree completely - you have my vote!

This one is amazing - it almost looks stitched together. Great greens!
-
I agree - amazingly clean and noise-free. What sort of noise reduction did you run it through? Nicely balanced composition as well.
-
Comments or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

An amazingly well-controlled exposure - well done!
-
Any comments or suggestions? And yes, I do know the horizon's not
straight - it was intentional!
-
Hmm - perhaps it would be better with the sun shifted a bit to the right. I'm happy with it as it is though, probably due to the repeating V-shapes.
-
Very nicely balanced tones and contrast between sharp and blurred portions. I do feel that the composition is a little biased towards the left (empty space on the right), but I feel that to fix this would leave you with too much attention-grabbing sandy beach!
-
I was really happy with the leading lines in this one - comments or
suggestions are appreciated.
-
I agree with the comment above - I'm loving the blues and greens. It would be awesome if the cloud could be flipped on vertical to give the image a bit more balance.
-
Good point - I have done a bit of monitor fiddling on my laptop to get it better but I got a few prints done recently and some were fine but others were quite undersaturated in comparison.
I might give this shot another go to sort out the issues you mentioned.
Thanks!

Any suggestions for improvement? I am in the process of calibrating my
screen so any colour cast / gamma suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks
Steven

Nice image. A shame the lower left is a bit washed out and I would suggest trying a square crop.
