I want to improve my skills with kids. any sugestions?

Frankly when I saw the title I was expecting something else completely. (See attachment for an idea) When I opened the link I was disappointed. I also have a hard time with the overall picture, to much to grab the eye. I find my self having a hard time deciding weather to focus on the crotch or the belly or the breasts for that matter. On the upside I do like the lighting and tones in this picture.

Something about this photo sayes that it could be better, please advise.

Thank you David I really appreciate the input. When I was shooting this photo I was struck by the beauty of the colors. It also seamed to say to me pastel. Hence I did not punch up the colors any and left it the way it was. I do however like your take on it. it seams to be one of those "depends on your mood" photos.

 

Ok now some one gave me a 2/2 rating on this photo. I personally have given a 2/2 on a photo but supported my rating with an explanation. I find it rather cheap to rate and run. If for some reason you thought this was a bad photo please support it otherwise in my book you?re just jealous.

The colors are nice and the coposition is good. It would be interesting to see this island in a three pic set Summer, Winter, and Fall.

I don't know why but I never seam to get any input on my stuff. Is it

Thank you for the feed back. I was torn between doing or not doing a border. When I was looking at it, it seamed to need a finish. Similarly some of the images I have bean impressed with have had a frame or border on them. The jury is still out on whether I will use one or not. Thank you.

I like the dress and very good light. I do not see the link with the Matrix other than she seams to be standing on the edge of a building. The only thing that is hard for me to take is that something bothers me about the background and I cannot put my finger on it.

Any comments greatly appreciated. What is the thing that most caught

I love the exprestion on the kids facees. Photographing children is very chalanging. However this photo could use a little more light on the face. Also the position of the mothers head looks so unnatural.
