These islands are on the Caribbean side of Panama and many are
uninhabited. Within minutes of taking this the whole island fell
under a cloud and we were hammered by rain. It made for tough
lighting conditions. If I had the time I would have used a graduated
ND filter to cope with the bright beach.

Nice use of "rule of thirds". The sky is a little out of focus relative to the foreground. I'd suggest focusing about 1/3 of the way into the shot and increasing the depth of field with a small appeture setting. I like the composition a lot. It seems to compress the clouds to a low elevation.

I would have liked some more shadows too, but like they say...timing is everything.

Nice compostition but the distorsion from the wide angle lens is quiet apparent in some elements. I'm guessing in the range of 17-22mm. For the tower itself it helps stress the size but the light post in the lower right looks a little odd. With a standard SLR camera its hard to avoid unless you can keep verticle elements out of the foreground. In any case the picture definitely captures the awesome feeling when you first walk up to the tower and the colors also came out well

A little too much sky for me although the clouds add interest. I assume the church is the primary subject and I'd zoom in a little tighter on it. It is nice to place it off center as you have done. The lighting is also a bit flat looking as though shot at mid day.

I was just walking out of a dirt parking area to get some shots of
the Mtns. beyond when I spotted these Guanacos very close by. They
are quite shy and well camouflaged so I had to back up and quickly
zoom in against a contrasting background to see them. No time to
change lens...a herd of tourists scared them off seconds later.

Any comments or recommendations would be great.

Better with the tops of the peaks in the clouds or not?
It cleared as I was standing here.
