I resigned from the detail in the tree to use it only as a sharply
drawn shadow against the evening sky. Comments?

Nice work. I would have cropped it a bit differently, i.e. so that the moon-line is diagonal, pointing towards the top right corner. That might lead to the funny position of the building in the pic, though. So maybe you could have taken some 2-3 more exposures of the moon to fill - in?

Unfortunately, it is a bit unsharp... Other than that - what do you think?

Could not resist... Especially, that I had not touched this photo
afterwards - it is exactly as taken. Any comments?

I really like the framing of this pic, and the grainy foreground. Well done!

Any comments are more than welcome!

And one more in the "spinning flower" series. Any comments?

Another try on a spinning flower. What do you think?

This is a photo of a small flower hanging from the ceiling and
rotating moved by air. I tried a high ISO and no noise reduction to
get the grainy effect. What do you think?

I had a look at the ratings you got for this shot.... Do people really have to get a one-in-a-billion-just-same-sunset-over-the-sea photo to rate it positively???? I cannot dispute other people's aesthetic tastes but how many shots like that did they see to rate you low on the originality??

I really like the way you exposed this photo. It does not loose any of the viewer's attention to unnecessary colors, just bringing out the shapes. As a big fan of clean cuts I am personally slightly disturbed by this whole lot of branches on the right. I tried to cut it a bit the way I would try to frame it myself, to show you what I mean, but it still is not quite right. I would want all of that tree out of the way actually. Anyway, have a look at this other cropping option. What do you think?

Shadow of a tree

I have tried to frame this photo in my standard way, with a very narrow white line (to highlight the border) followed by a black thicker frame and it did not work, it was to intrusive. Taking a red line would distract the viewer's attention from the photo even more. And without any frame it looked too plain. I decided to use just a black frame because the black branches merge with it, chopping the image into kind of a natural stained-glass-window.
Thanks for your thoughts!
