This is a GREAT picture. Besides what's been already told, I like the fact that she leans right and seems to be supporting herself in the railway. This wouldn't have worked had she used a light-colored jacket.

 

I WISH I could do staged portraits like this.

Muy buena imagen - destaca el colorido del ejemplar y su pico (¿puede dudar alguien del porqué del nombre "Martín pescador" con una foto como esta?). La composición es buena y el fondo completamente fuera de foco ayuda a concentrar la atención en el sujeto.

Tengo la impresión de que el título en inglés una traducción del original en castellano. Si es así, creo que una traducción más fiel del original es "Better dead than simple".

Means "Even more difficult". In the circus, after the acrobats make a complex maneuver, the (er... host?) will announce with that phrase an even more complex maneuver that is going to be done now.

 

That said, I love this picture.

I think the meaning of the picture would change A LOT if the smaller tree weren't there.

Good shot, nice composition and colors... but the green blur on the bottom (an unfocused leaf, I assume) detracts quite a lot.

Seriously, what's the point of this picture?
