The architecture is inspired by the shape of the Durian and it is fondly called the Durians.

 

On a recent business visit to Singapore, I was lucky to get a room overlooking the Singapore Marina on the 56th floor of Swissotel the Stamford. This was shot from the balcony using a normal point and shot Canon Ixus 400. (I wish I had my Nikon D70 with me).

Thanks to all of you for your kind comments. Appreciate that very much and makes me enthusiastic to shoot more. I got so many shots of this bird which was very proud to pose for me. I was in a boat and this bird along with another was just a few yards away from me. I am not even sure if I should continue posting the various shots of the same bird.
