This is a great idea, and I agree that giving is not an embarrasment. However there could be people who are not interested in somebody giving them a subscription. I think the member should be given a choice to disable the option if he/she wants to do so. Or is that option already there?

Why would anyone think a registered member knows more than a non-registered member? Anybody could be a member by paying up. For example, I am a member, but I do not know much. As for ratings, every person has his/her preference. If you feel a photo deserves higher rating, that's your own opinion. Btw Lanny, you have great photos on your portfolio. Love your tigers! In the rate recent queue, if a photo that has no ratings comes up, one

cannot get past without rating it. The only way is to go to the

gallery tab at the top and hit the "rate recent" option again. This

would even force people to just rate the photo randomly (without

evaluating the photo) for the sake of getting past. I believe this is

not the real objective of the rating exercise.

 

The error that comes up is "Server Error - The requested URL cannot be

accessed due to a system error on this server."

 

This is frustrating if one ends up with a series of them, and this

happens often as the photos with similar number of ratings are grouped

together. It seems to explain why a photo takes a long time to get

some rates these days.

 

I remember this was not the case a few months ago. Any fix in sight?

Recently while I was trying out some sunset shots, I had a shot that

was all pink. The next shot was ok. Is this a sign of impending

problem? Anybody had this before? I will try to attach the photo for

I am unable to see my photos today. Everytime I click on the

thumbnails, I get the following error message

The interesting part is that I can see photos posted by others and can

see mine when I am not logged on to Photo.Net. I have tried clearing

my cache and tried on both Firefox and IE. Please help. Thanks.

I have also been facing the servor error problem which using the Rate Recent feature for several days now. Hope this is being fixed..

This is a good suggestion by Mr. Diamond. This feature would help us to jump to the page number we choose rather than hitting the next button many times. Sometimes I want to take a look at photos at the end of the TRP. (After all, not all of us are on the front page of the TRP ;-)).

I don't see any answer to this? Bug or am I missing something here?? It may not be a big deal, but if it is a bug, it needs to be fixed. Thanks.

When I download the csv file and add up the number of ratings

received, it is lesser than the total ratings shown on my community

member page. I checked it several times over the last few days and the

error is always there. Is this a bug?

I am unable to rate after I comment on the photographs. Usually I go

to the rate recent queue and when I see a photograph that I would like

to comment, I open up the photo and read the details of the photo and

earlier comments first. After I comment, I tried to rate the photo

and I get a "Rating Insert failed". This has happened at least 3

times so far and I am not sure if it happens all the time. Anybody

seen this? Any work arounds? Or is this a bug?

Natasha : This problem with D70 seems to be fairly common (at least in batches about a year old or so). I have seen a lot of posts on this issue in other forums. In those forums, I heard that Nikon has serviced D70's with this problem for free in Malaysia and Singapore.

The error message is still there, this time when you hit the "add this photo" button. But when I go back and try once or twice, I am able to upload the photograph.

Brian : Thanks for increasing the quota and letting us upload photos. As for country of residence, I am from Singapore. I hope it helps you narrow down the cause of the problem.
