Thank you for the comments .. indeed it was just one of those "fun shots" of something you don't always see ..

I like it but ... the vertical white bar seems to be keeping the two apart and I wonder if more light on the face of the girl doll would not help to picture .... just some thoughts
thanks

While you have an excellent portfolio of photographs that you have shared with us, this one in particular has some "magic" about it. Excellent work and thanks for sharing with us.

Blowing wind adds to the challenge.
Taken with a "point & shoot" digital.

Wonderful ... great composition .. great subject and the threatening sky helps to finish off the "scene" ... it just looks like a great place for a mystery to happen ...

Very nice photo as is but I did find a special charm with a B&W version ... maybe just gives it a bit of the "older look". Well done.

Excellent use of B&W with the lighted area behind the man but yet very good illumination of him. Contrast balance is good and your excellent use of DOF helps to make this another one of your great portraits. While I often think that B&W is an excellent medium for portraits it is often difficult to get the contract just right for the subject but you have done this very well. Thank you for sharing with us.

While both the colour and B&W versions of this photo are excellent for some reason I prefer the B&W. Perhaps it is because it seems to give more emphasis to the faces of the boy and man while the background is still there to give context. The sharpness and lighting of the faces captures your attention and you try and follow their eyes to wonder what has captured their attention.
This is an excellent B&W portrait and I appreciate you sharing it with us.

This photograph is truly an art form ... most impressive composition, colours and visual impact on the viewer.

Very nicely done ... the use of BW has worked very well with the subject. I like the glow of the lamps but they are not too over exposed. Well done.
