Thx Matt as you can see i'm not an expert , someone told me it was perigrine falcon (ye i should have checked it)of course you are right that is Kestrel

and again youre right that was misssfocus - my 300d focus wasnt fast enught for this bird so i try my luck manualy also the lense i used 75-300 f4-5.6 USM is the worst lens i've ever owned (at 300mm si soft even at f8)

with this combination every think looks excellent at f5.6 at f7 details of tiny hair on the face arent visible at f13 details of eyes...

full zsize of picture shows that degradation is not very big(camera 300D did more degradation then the TC did ) but i noticed that this lens alon does very well at f12 - with TC and extencions max f5.6

i think that is the most orginal picture ive seen today.. butthe knife is hardly visibble and i needed a while before i noticed what she is doing - i like shadow of knife on the wall

You right that is about 5x magnification

- 1:1 100mm macro

- 1.6X beacouse of 300d cmos sensor size

- about 1.5x cos extencion tube(65mm)

- 2x kenko tele converter

- and bout 2x becouse that is a crop from image center

all together about 5-6x
