How exactly do you enter the service member and make the adjustments mentioned?

Just noticed these smudgy "dots" on every image I have taken with my two-week

old Pentax K10. The "dots" appear with every lens and are more easily seen in

darker images. This is an cropped portion of a sky photo. The photo is

underexposed and modified with levels in Photoshop. What's going on?

I recently purchased a M42 adapter from BHphoto. Due to my clumsiness, or

perhaps, to defective construction, the little locking gizmo on the adapter

fell off. Does this affect anything when used on the camera? The lens mates to

the camera all right but doesn't lock. I keep getting the odd beep from the

camera when the lens is in use, and a flashing tiny red square in the center

of the viewfinder. Is this normal behavior?

Even so, where can I get an adapter?

Just got a K10 and have some Leica LTM lenses I'd love to mount on it. Does an

adapter exist that would allow me to do this, i.e, a LTM to M42 adapter). (I

already have the M42 to K adapter.

I guess the problem is that I have PS CS, not CS3. Casting around the Adobe site I can't find an update that will load DNG files and work with CS.

I just purchased a Samsung GX-10. After taking some test RAW shots I tried to

open them in Photoshop CS. The program doesn't open the files and doesn't have

dng files on its drop-down list of files it accepts. Am I missing something?

Do I have to open these files through the GX-10 software (which I don't want

to do). I've never worked with RAW files before so I'm new to the game.

So...Pentax adapters are not sold new anymore? Only used ones are available?

Using the inflation calculator at http://www.westegg.com/inflation/ I calculated that a Leica IIIf with a Summicron F2 costing $366 is the equivalent of $2514.57 in the 2005 dollar. The site doesn't go beyond 2005.

What kind of adapter is required to mount a SM lens on the K100D or the other

cameras in that line? I keep reading in the product description that the SM

lens requires an adapter, but there is never a description of the adapter.

Thanks all. I use color neg film, so I guess I'm close enough for government work. I think the shutter speeds on this camera are pretty close to spec. By the way, Gerry at Kindermann did a great CLA on this camera; everything feels butter smooth. Highly recommend him.

I have a Leica IIIf red dial recently CLAed by Kindermann. What is

the best way to compensate for the "old-style" shutter speeds on

this camera? (1/50th, 1/25, 1/200 etc.)
