I'm headed to Sanibel on the 17th so I'll try to post after I get back on the 24th (or while I'm there if time permits). I won't have as much time for bird photography as I'd like, but I plan on trying to make it to Little Estero Lagoon and Venice beach. I'm also going to try to find some osprey nests and perhaps the burrowing owls around Cape Coral.

I don't have much to add to the above other than my own personal experiences. Three years ago, I spent the last week of September in the Tetons and the first week of October in Yellowstone. Elk were very active and plentiful in Yellowstone. It would get down to 15-20 F in the evenings, but would usually warm back up to the 60's in the afternoons. I'd usually get out of the tent in the morning wearing thermal everything and then strip down to shorts and a t-shirt by mid day. Snow is indeed very unpredictable. The second to last night I was in Yellowstone, it rained all night. Just north of Yellowstone it snowed all night. Leaving the park through the NE entrance, I hit snow most of the way through the pass.
