I wrote her back and asked what the circulation was and what they typically paid for a cover photo. I think I was nice. :-)
Thanks, Ellis!

Tony, The location is Minnesota, and the market is home buyers. I don't know the circulation or how much they've paid in the past. Is that something they'll tell you? They're looking at 'a couple of other artists' and want to know if mine is available for sale. The shot was not hard to get and doubt anyone else has it...
Peter, that software looks great and I may get it sometime soon, but I need to give this person a quote ASAP.
Thank you both for your time. A ballpark figure was what I was looking for.

I was contacted by a graphic designer who is interested in one of my photos
for the cover of a parade of homes magazine. Any suggestions on what I should
charge? It would be for the fall issue.
Thanks,
Janet

She needs 100 stamps. Is the number of stamps really relevant to what I charge her for the use of my photo?

Thanks so much for your answers! That photo stamp site is cool! :- ) I emailed her and asked if that was what she wanted to use it for and said I could do it for her and have the stamps sent to her. That way, I wouldn't be giving her access to my file....
So, what would you all charge for the use of your photo in this case?

Hi,
I've gotten a request to purchase a high quality digital file of one of my
photos from a woman who's getting married and wants to use it as her wedding
stamp...not sure what that really means, but...
She saw this photo in my betterphoto.com gallery. I don't really know how to
handle this as in what to charge....Any advice would be great!
Thanks,
Janet

Hi,
How about changing the pet category to a more general animal category?
I have a few photos from a zoo, and lions and orangutans aren't exactly
pets. They aren't nature either since they're not free. I noticed this
topic has been brought up in the past, but nothing was done about it.
Any chance this could be paid attention to now?
Thank you,
Janet

I recently bought the JOBO Image Maestro Pro that copies several different memory sources onto either a cd or dvd and has a rechargeable battery. The idea of keeping track of a bunch of cards wasn't appealing to me. It was a little over $300 at B&H.

Hi Tony, Here is the link to where the magazine is. I can't find where exactly in Minnesota they're out of. I haven't heard back from her yet so don't know the circulation.
Thanks again.....
