Now Lori, I'm not gonna give ratings but I read in somebody's signature:: Focus on the important and eliminate the rest...what I mean here is that be very particular on cropping and there is too much noise in here. I am attaching a pic [small coz i dont pay photo.net] as to how wud i have composed this scene. have a look --regards

The title is the first word that came to me. And the panorama is equally good. Congratulations on this one for capturing and for being there.

Readers, I believe this is a fantastic shot that deserves at least a 5 in both Aesthetics and Originality, cant comprehend why someone gives it 4.

With all respect to everyone's opinion, I believe that tonal adjustment might really not be required and that the 'stump' kind of completes the picture...otherwise the foreground is left blank.
Now the image that has been attached by Mr.Ross [Nathan], it looks posterized which happens whenever we play with the levels...maybe it should have been done on larger image and the image then resized so it doesnt look bad, not that Mr.Ross could help it though.
What I suggest gentlemen/ladies is that save this picture to your computer and the have a look at suitable zoom...which means that you dont see the browser window and that you can see the whole length of image without scrolling...you wont feel the limited tones...infact that gives us a better idea of the atmosphere that would have been when Mr.Lett took this FABULOUS photogaph.

Sir,
I'm deeply inspired by the excellent photos of the subcontinent, this in particular and your folder in general. However, I chose to comment on this one specially because this is a great photograph of a simple daily life scene rather than any exotic location [though I hold nothing against that].

that reminds me of Jules

Great photograph...looks really stormy...and the colors are ominously unreal.
Congrats!

Nice portrait of a beautiful lady but I wud have preferred if you could have used some light on the left top region of the face.
But still...looks good.

I like this one even better than the other photograph of the same bridge.
