Gerald ... you may not like it that's OK ... but manipulation is very minimal ( see the details section) ... the sun is actually below the horizon and shot up through the clouds and lit up every thing above it with a really WOW effect ... just glad I was there to get it.

"Patina" ... The appearance of something grown beautiful especially
with age or use ... My hope is that these photos will convey
that ... all of the photos in this series (see my patina folder) are
taken with vintage cameras using pinhole or lens and filters, and
not digital alteration. Cropping, tint or balance are done on
computer from scans of the original film ...

This is the same shot as "kerosene sold here" which appears in the
same folder ... this one taken with a pinhole rather than the
lens/gizmo used on the previous photo.

Tomas ... the effect is from the angle of the sun, as I am using a lens hood, the diffuser lens filter adds the radient look ... this whole folder is all old skool style photos ... flaws and all ...
BTW This is a crop of the backup shot taken with a Nikon N75/Nikkor 35mm f2 in program mode ... when I take these type of shots lately I usually take a backup in color ...

Thanks Malcom ... yeah it's a nice diversion, and I'm working on several new techniques ... it's so easy to play it safe in photography ... go for what ya know and take pretty pictures, or the same shot essentially over and over ... Thanks again! Kenny

Taken in one of the poorer sections of town this street Santa
setting (it's open air) has been around for as long as anyone can
remember ...
