  1. Preston:

Keeping in mind that you don't have the time or skill to do such a thing, ponder this...

I'm not a Professional. I did a wedding for my neice. Her Mom put together a basic album on Shutterfly for $100.

Took her about an hour and a half. She also said she did not have the skill to do such a thing.

Is it worth your time to take say...2 hours & charge them $250?

I agree with others that after looking in to albums, I know of no companies that offer both design and print for $250.

    Good luck Preston

I've been out West many times, including Yellowstone. I've found having a circular polarizing filter was quite useful. For particular brands & sizes simply search photonet for many threads on the subject.

Also, I carry a Fuji P&S F31. Very useful as well.

Have fun & good luck !

I had the opportunity to ask my couple your question & to my surprise they want me VERY involved. It is important for them to make sure I get the shot I feel is important. To quote them, "Do what you have to do to get the photo"

You were right (for this couple) to ask the question.

NADINE: A friend of mine has the book you mentioned. Thanks for the tip !

  4. I am just starting to shoot weddings. Probably the best way for me to learn positioning,

for example, at the ceremony and the reception, would be for me to assist another

photographer. I realize that each wedding venue will vary greatly. What I am looking

for is general information/guidance. My question is, are there any books or online

resources that will help me? Thank you.

  5. Since I use RAW + large Jpeg I've found that the groups for which I shoot (Sports clubs - primarily soccer) like the "saturated" colors in the out of camera jpegs. Landscape gives them what they want. I still have the RAW file for my purposes. having no PP time with the jpeg saves me time.

Have you tried wrist supports? About $4 (USD) available in a pharmacy or stores like WalMart. I tried them in another of my passions, fishing. Greatly relieved the wrist stress, for me at least. The ones I use have velcro attachments & are easily put on or removed.

After an extremely unpleasant experience with Wolf/Ritz a few years ago I vowed to never deal with them again, and to relate my experience to others considering a purchase from them.

You won't get ripped off like some online retailers, but what you will get is very little consideration from their customer service organization. I eventually received what I ordered, but the frustration level in dealing with them was VERY high. My recommendation is to cancel (if you can) your order & call B&H. You won't regret it. + you'll be supporting one of the best retailers in the industry. Take a look at www.resellerratings.com and judge for yourself.
