i have a physical copy of the manual and a soft copy as well. but i must know where the problem lies, to fix it. i couldnt figure out where it went wrong. (i am not a professional photographer, just a amateur)

i am using a Nikon D80 and crossed around 13000 pics with it.

 

Couple of months back, i read some technic on net and tried those settings on

my camera. i couldnt exactly recall what all i did to my camera, but things are

not fine after that.

 

The problem is when i put my camera in "A" "S" "P" modes, it is not sensing or

sinking with the flash, it is not sensing the inbuilt flash, or my SB800 or my

SB24, which used to work fine earlier.

 

but it is absolutely working fine with all the other modes. but i always used

to use "A" mode predominantly. and i miss it big time.

 

Is it a mechanical error, or a simple setting issue. help me out.

 

i had resetted the camera several times, but it is not reverting back.

Frank, i tried the way you had suggested (i mean 24 in hot shoe and 800 as remote) and it works perfectly, and i am happy that i can retain my old SB24.

SB24 used to be my one and only speed light once,

 

recently i bought a SB800, it is brilliant. i tried using it as a slave and my

D80's popup flash as master, and the combination is doing really well.

 

is there any way that i include my old SB24 also into this system as a slave.

or can i attach it to my camera's shoe so that SB24 works as my master and

SB800 as slave.

 

or just sell it off...

I had decided to buy a Nikon D70s,

 

but then recently i saw the launch of D80.

 

Have anyone used the new D80. by specs, it looks great, but have any one used

it in this site?

 

Is it worthy for me to wait for D80, or just buy a D70s as i had decided?
