Hi, Just browsing through pictures and was fascinated by the frost shot. Very well done. The framing gives the shot something too. Very well done. Cheers Roger

A visit to the Grand Canyon produced this photo. This is truly an
amazing river supplying recreation, power and wonderful views.

Arturo, this is a lovely picture, full of vibrance and beauty. Alas why did you not shoot the feet. She is a dancer, and the feet are what propel her.

In winter these birds seem to accumulate wherever there is water in
the desert. Arizona is not home to many of these. This is one of 50
shots I took today as they were preening and looking for fish.
Appreciate a critique. TY

This small waterfall near Varna, Bulgaria intrigued me with the fall
colors. Comments and Critique appreciated.

One of my favorite shots taken last summer near Bishop, CA just off
Highway 395. The altitude here is about 8,000 feet which makes me
think of the cows in pastures I have shot in Switzerland and Austria.
Comments and critique appreciated.

Thanks for viewing. One of my favorites.

Good composition and color. The setting sun gives a commanding posture to the photo. Very Well Done!

Late afternoon at Picacho Peak, Arizona. Converted to black and
white. No other manipulation.

Taken in the Navajo Tribal Park in Utah a week ago.

An excellent display of water flowing. I would have liked the vegetation just a bit brighter, but this is a very good shot as displayed. Composition is also noteworthy.

I think this is excellent composition. It captures the mystic of the church. I am wondering if you considered some minor straightening or not. I think it works well with the angle shown, but wondered if you had tried to align it a trifle.

James, lovely view of the water and shore. I believe you should lighten the right side of the photo. In PS or PSE you could do this with Shadows and Highlights I believe. Again, good shot but you can improve it.

Nick, haven't been on the forum as much as I used to be, but happened to see this shot and I must say it is excellent. Really good composition. Where is this, Switzerland or Greece? Cheers. Roger

Took this in early September while in Europe. Another month and
this place could be full of snow.

Arash, I have another shot of this church which does not include the tree. I liked the idea of the branches, but I understand your comments. Perhaps the other shot, which I have posted is better. I liked the color in this picture better. It is unfortunate that I did not step forward from the tree and take a third shot from this location. Thank you for your critique and comments. Roger

Driving from Germany to Austria I passed this church and was struck
by its serenity. I took several pictures of the church in the open,
but I felt that the framing of the church through the branches was
the best view. What do you think?

This was taken in Berchtesgaden, Germany after a steady overnight
rain. Picture was taken in September.

Who Dat? Great shot. Cropped from? Real close up. I like it.

Last year I visited Bryce Canyon and was very impressed with the
beauty of the red rock and giant vistas. This picture is one of my
favorites, because of the people walking up to this point.
-
Nice idea. I like the shading of the red too.

This was taken in Beaverton, Oregon this month, July 24. This is one of my
first attempts to use my new Canon 70-200mm 4 L IS USM lens. Camera
was Canon 7 D. My concern was how sharp would this picture be using
1/60 second. Considering that I used a 1.4 TC I estimated that the IS would
take care of at least three settings. I lost an f stop with the TC so I was
shooting at f 5.6. I bumped the ISO up to 1000 to get the f stop. The focal
length would be 448 mm according to my math, thus 500, 250 ,125 and
finally the 1/60 second. Please tell me what you think. Thanks.
