  1. Bob,

But what happens to those who wish to contribute, but they can't ? I mean there's my case, i would like to buy a subscription but, since i'm in eastern europe, i can't. I think photo.net should help those in need, true artists, by making contests with subscription prizes, or something like that ... just an idea.

    Thanks

  2. Fashion ... well fashion is not art, you know ... fashion isn't even culture. Fashion is advertising ... and advertising is money. And for every dollar you earn, someone has to pay. Every fashion photograph makes a promise. And the promise is never kept ... that's what makes the photograph great. And if the promise is sex, then you really have something ...

Fashion photos are those photos where the focus of the image is on the clothing style the model is wearing. Fashion Portraits are more aligned with magazines like GQ and Vogue ナand adds from Polo, Calvin Klein, and Prada, and should not be confused with Glamour Portraits, where the emphasis lies on the model, as his/her self, looking beautiful, or desirable.

(Fashion is about the Bra, where Glamour is about the breasts.) Many make this mistake ...

  3. What happens with the NON Members who could actually benefit from a PN subscription, but arent able to buy one because of different reasons like they live outside the US (eastern europe) or they just cant afford $25 ?

I think PN should promote also the best NON subscriber members too.

  4. Okay ... i have a question for anyone who knows anything about this topic. My

goal in life is to do photography, mainly fashion, glamour or commercial

photography. Currently i own a Sony DSC P-41 point and shoot camera and nothing

else. My question is "would anyone hire someone with that type of camera to do

some photos ?" ... seems like i'm trapped in a circle. i wanna buy a

better-professional camera and stuff, but i dont have the money, therefore i

wanna work and make some money. then again, some say i cant do outstanding

photos with a Sony DSC P-41 camera and nobody would hire me.

do you have any suggestions ?

  5. Hell yes ... all my photos here were made with that tiny camera. It has its pros and cons. I very good to start with, but once you get more hooked into this photography thing, you need a better more professional one. too bad i cant afford one, but anyways .. if you just want familiy and holidays photos, this camera is perfect. quality is okay in good lightning conditions, but you might consider buying rechargeable batteries cause this one will suck all that energy quite fast.
