Thank you very much for your help. My images are all digital and shot with Nikon D70 at a resolution of 200 iso.

Thank you for your feedback.

Is there a way in photoshop how to correct underexposed images
without creating unwanted noise? Your response is greatly
appreciated. Thank you.

Thank you Brian for your explanation.

Yes, they are in the order that I took them. These are just three samples because as I said each time I opened the file I had a different rating. Now it seems that it stopped, a table of which is attached . I do not know whether I shuld delete it and post it again or else leave it as it is.<div></div>

I have just posted this http://www.photo.net/photo/3534499 and each time I open the photo even though the
number of rates is the same the average is different each time I
open the image. Did anyone else experience the same?
The following image shows three summary ratings that were taken in

David, yesterday I had the same experience on my photo http://www.photo.net/photo/3514284. In fact, I have just found that one of the 4/4 has been deleted. Special thanks goes to the moderators who are removing these accounts.

What I mean by saying unstable because at first I had two rates of 5/5 and one of 3/3 then five minutes later one of the 5/5 was changed to 3/3, that means two lower ranks. I do understand that people might see this photo below average and I see nothing wrong about that but first to rate this photo as good and then change the rate to below average I do not think that this person knew what s/he was doing. I accept that a person can change his/her opinion and lower or raise a rate by one rank but two ranks are a bit too much. Furthermore, I am not saying that the site is not good, in fact I believe that it is the best site for photographers all I am saying is that sometimes some people, not everyone, tend to reserve their low rates for the rate recent.

Yesterday, I noticed that rates were unstable. One of my photos got two 5/5 and one 3/3, five minutes later it had the same number of ratings but one of 5/5 and two of 3/3. When I saw this I deleted it and posted it today. I also noticed that yesterday several good photos that had posted in last 48 hours and were rated highly were given low rates in the rate recent. Are people using the rate recent to destroy good photos? I am not sure if this is just my opinion, I would love to know if you have the same opinion?

I am sure that for the first few hours they are updated but then it seems that they stop being updated. Regarding the missing rates, actually they are there but hidden. I see them only in the ratings breakdown.
-
I am sorry but my problem is that I cannot understand why the rate recent average is not being updated. Only some of the rate recent votes are counted (I am not referring to those who rate directly). The other problem that I haveis some of my photos have missing rates. For example, one of them has 24 ratings but only 22 is counted. I cannot understand it.
-
Thank you James but I am still confused because now the system is not rate recent sum but rate recent average.
-
I am feeling confused about the rate recent average and I do not know
how does it works. It seems to me that when it is updated it does not
take all the rate recent votes. Sometimes I open photos, that in the
rate recent they have 7 ratings, but their real number of rate recent
is 8 or more with lower or higher rank but this does not show in the
rate recent average.http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?
photo_id=3472856. I wait for hours to see if these images are updated
but unfortunately they are not being updated
Another difficulty that I have is that some of my photos have lower
number of ratings than they really have

Can you please help out these difficulties.
Thank you.

Thank you for your reason, in fact two of the deleted ratings were 3/3 and one was 7/7

Yesterday evening one of my photos http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?
photo_id=3455776 had 18 ratings (17 rate recent and one direct)but
this morning it has only 12 ratings. Can you please tell me why is
this so?

I am having a problem rating a photo
http://www.photo.net/photo/3417908 at 7 but I am
receiving the following message even though it has been more than 35
hours since I rated the last photo. Few days ago I had a similar
problem but I was told that I rated more than six photos at 7 on one
day. I am experiencing this with only some photos.
We had a problem processing your entry:
7 ratings are intended for the photos that you consider the "best" on
photo.net, and out of the photos submitted on any particular date,
you can only give at most 6 of them a 7 rating. You have already
rated 8 photos from this date with a rating of 7.
Please back up using your browser, correct it, and resubmit your
entry.
Thank you.
Can anyone please help to solve this problem. Thank you.

I am having problems rating work at 7. I am experiencing this not on
all photos. Each time I try I receive the following statement even
though I did not rate photos on a particular day.
"We had a problem processing your entry:
7 ratings are intended for the photos that you consider the "best"
on photo.net, and out of the photos submitted on any particular
date, you can only give at most 6 of them a 7 rating. You have
already rated 9 photos from this date with a rating of 7.
Please back up using your browser, correct it, and resubmit your
entry.
Thank you."
Can anyone help me solve this problem because I see it unfair to
rate 6 instead of 7 because I am not allowed to do so.
Thank you

As far as I know I shooting in Adobe RGB and viewing and printing in sRGB. A friend of mine told me that I can download curves for my Nikon. Would this improve the situation?

My computer monitor is calibrated with the photo lab where I print my images. The printed photos are quite close to those seen on my computer monitor. It is true that each photo lab produce different results

I have Nikon D70 and when I take photos with it on the LCD they look
bright but when I upload them on the computer they look very pale and
lacking contrast. I always end up correcting brightness and contrast
on Photoshop. Is this normal? Is there a way how I can set my camera
to shoot contrasting but at the same time realistic images?

I have the SB600 flashgun and two non dedicated ones. Each time I
try to use them all I end up with an underexpose photo. Is there
anyone who can tell me if there is a way of how to synchroise the
three of them? Thank you
