my lc1 falled out of my bag from a 1.5 m into hard ground and nothing happened to it, so flimsy it is not.

Noise (according to a very good review on digilux2 posted here in PN) is only an issue on asa200 and above. I haven't even noticed on my photos. But maybe what is good for me it is not so for others so you can judge for yourself in my portfolio. (I'll mail you some raws if you want to see how things come out of the camera).
I shoot both in AF and manual, and a lot through the LC, it helps me compose in ways that are new referred to my analogical background (try that on a reflex).
Nikon D40, if you don't shoot RAW may be an option. D50 may have a bigger sensor, but full of dust :-), both D40 & D50 are much more expensive if equipped with a lens that can compare to the vario sumicron.(but where is the benefit in comparing pears and apples).

If I'm not mistaken until today the information on my workspace
referent to interesting people was updated almost instantly.
Does anyone know how it's supposed to be?

Has this featured been modified?
if not how often is it
updated?
I don't need for it to be very fast nor I can't think for
any reason that it would be essential for it to do so, but knowing the
cadence would avoid checking more often than needed.

PS I've searched under my friends and interesting
people with no result, sorry if I'm just clumsy.

Who ever wants to try it can comment at PT.

How about a gallery or include a category with photos made by phone_cameras?

Maurik I think I understand and sympathize with your concerns.

But if you look at it closely there has only been a major change, the reasons for it have been explained in several posts. Besides that, the rate breakdown of RR rates has been reloaded, probably due to a sensible suggestion that was made early today. It is my opinion that this does not alter the philosophy nor the rules in a way that turns everything up side down.

As you say the efforts to please the community is impossible specially if we categorize the complains in two:

1 No changes to my complains, no concern for Pnneters feedback

2 All this changes make my head drizzle.

Maybe I'm about to post something utterly stupid, disregarding the wise saying that goes: in doubt of whether to speak to don't seem silly or talk to prove so, best to keep quite. As I was saying, incapable to restrain impulse to talk, would it be not better if the name of the photographer on the RRC would not show until the rate was given. Would this not be more in accordance with what I understand is the reason for the late changes and previous ones?

Here too as Jamie. But also by looking at the highest ratted photos by the photographers that I find in my way and happen to enjoy their style. Happy commenting.

the trick described on dpreview says:
"I removed the battery from my camera for 3 days"
is anyone seriously suggesting that we spend 3 days without taking a photo.
