Marco, I have been here many times and enjoy the Golden Gate from any angle. Your contribution is classic in appearance. I like the grainy look. Feels like looking in an old photo album from my grandparents. Baker Beach is a fun place to go and play. Thank you for the contribution.

  1. I like the difference of the color on the landscape. From the dark brown mountains in the background to the low sand dunes in the foreground. The blue in the sky seems right on. Great capture. The mixture of colors is well done. Death Valley is a mecca for capturing imagery.

    Sam,

I like the pose, composition, framing of the individual and sooo much more. Good idea to bring your spot meter along.

Southern California is beautiful on days after it rains. This

capture was the evening of the 23rd of May. I was coming home on the

fwy and had to stop at my local mountain top and appreciate where we

live before the smog rolls in. Your critiques welcomed.

I don't hate it at all. It looks almost looks like a painting to me. I would hang it in my living room. Can I get a copy? I almost bought a painting similar to your photo. Very large print that was going to be a present for my wife. She preferred a shopping trip to Charlotte Russe (A fashion womens clothing store).

Nice capture. You have an artistic value in this one.

I like your capture. That one flower that is in focus speaks to me. Well thought out. Spring has brought a lot of beautiful flowers again.
  2. Split moment thought to take this photo or were you ready to take this type of photo? Eitherway, good capture. Was this today? The sun was awesome today in So. Cal.
  3. Mark,

Beautiful capture. You were at the right place at the right time. The sky represents power and the rainbow represents the softness that is within that powerful force. That is my view of your lovely capture. Did you use film or digital? Either way very nice.

Hiking before sunrise. I took my D100 and tried to find my

connection with the mood of this awesome view where I live. I get

greater appreciation for my hometown as I venture out in it's

surrounding hills and mountains. I find connection with my inner

being (My little phrase) everytime I arise early to see the town

wake up. Tujunga is a community of Los Angeles. Even some Angelenos

don't know where it's at. It is a little secret of Los Angeles and

all Tujunga residents like it that way. Enjoy.....all comments are

    appreciated.

  4. What was the thought process that lead you to this angle of view. Whatever it was it is genius. I like how she has one eye covered by her hair. It gives to the mood of, "What is really in my drier?" Good use of available light also. Nice work.

    Jayme,

Thank you. Your are sweet. She is a combo of myself and my beautiful wife. I like your version of the photo. I get sooo mesmorized when I look at photo's of my kids. To me it looks like perfection. I do like your point about the blue in the eyes. I have been playing with Photoshop and teaching myself. The basics in adjustments is as far as I will go now. But, I am venturing out with painting my photos with the ones I feel like discarding. Thank you again for the admoration of my daughter. By the way she is Irish, Danish, Ecuadorian and Mexican all rolled up into beauty.
