  1. This happened to me with my 10d, especially when focusing during sports photography. Never totally found the answer (the 10d died and I got an DRebel XT as a "temporary" replacement). Happened again on the XT w/ the same lens, a 70-200 2.8L. As the poster above suggested, it was indeed replacing a failing battery that seemed to fix the problem. I suspect that the dying battery was also at fault w/ the 10d.
  2. I am looking for an inexpensive digicam for my son that will zoom while in movie

mode. I can't seem to find much definitive info on which cameras can do this

and which just have the zoom fixed. He likes to make movies while on his

skateboard, and wants to be able to zoom in and out while videoing. That's also

why a cheaper camera would be better. I'd prefer Canon, since we already have

two Canons and the button/menu familiarity helps w/ useability. I would also be

OK w/ digital zoom if the optical zoom is either not available or out of my

    price range. Thanks in advance...

  3. My 70-200L f2.8 (used on a 10D) lens seems to be focusing slower than

before. I'm doing mostly sports photos, so its becoming obvious. In

fact, its focusing slower now than my 100-300. I'm using center-spot

focusing, Av mode, and the "*" button to focus, so I don't think its

technique. Is this a clean/lube/adjust issue? Or something else? If

it is a CLA issue, anyone know how much this will cost? Thanks...
