    Michael,

Its a beautiful shot. I really liked the vertical framing and composition inside the frame. Truly beautiful. Keep taking those photos.

    Cheers,

    Kjell :-)

    Crane

Its almost as though you have two pictures in here the uppr portion with the mysterious figure and then the lower portion with the crane....but it also works as whole....i really like it ..it has an air or mystery to it...

    Cheers,

    Kjell :-)

    North Window Arch

I love the way you framed this photo, it gives a sense of the massiveness of the rock arch. For some reason it also seems as though its liquid as well as solid, very nicely done :-).

    Cheers,

    Kjell :-)

  1. Thank you for looking...yes it is very grainy and very very contrasty......and i agree i should have used a red filter....it definitely would have made it less contrasty...but i also thought i was shooting with a different film than i was...it was a 1600 ISO film which i suppose also didnt help any but i do like the almost painterly effect which it gives ....thanks again for the visit..

    Cheers,

    Kjell :-)

Derek and Subhadip thank you both for your critiques. I believe the reason for the colour being so different is a mix of film (Kodak 400HD, it does some nice things to colours in cloudy weather), lateness in the day (around 1900hrs), apature (i cant recall what it was right now) but i really like the colour. Yes i agree it would have been nicer with more space to the right ...i should probably have taken a few steps back...:-), or at least to the side..:-). Thank you both again for viewing my photo...

    Grass 'n ICE #2

This was taken on the North Platte River in South Park Basin about 45

minutes west of Colorado Springs. January 2nd 2005, weather was

overcast and cold but still a beautiful day.

Constructive criticism/comments are more than welcome and if you have

the inclination please visit my gallery :-).

I just would like to thank all of you who commented above for the kindness of your comments. I truly do appreciate it especially after looking at some of the beautiful work which you yourselves do :-). Just keep on taking those photos to inspire others like myself :-).
  2. This image was scanned by the developer to CD and the only difference

between the slide and the scanned image is a small increase in colour

depth. Comments are more than welcome....thank you.
