  1. I used both lenses for over 4 years.

First i bought 28-135, nice lens but soft although some portraits needed it.

The 28-105 seems more sharp and performs much better at 28-50 range where 28-135 was weak.

Conclusion i use 28-135 only when i need IS or a soft touch.

After 4 years of use, both have to go to the service since the front element lash.

No one is recommended for prints over 12x16.

    8x12 is ok.

  2. I'm about to renew my lense range.

    i own 16-35L 2.8 and ordered 24-70L 2.8.

The logical choise is to add 70-200L 2.8 , but i already spent a lot

and consedering about alternatives like 70-200L 4.0 or Sigma 70-200

    2.8.

Also i heard about QC problems for Canon lenses and about 70-200L f4

    having backfocus problems.

  3. Canon also provides Digital Photo Professional for RAW and jpeg manipulation. It must support 10D. May phase one or CS Plug in be better, but it's very versatile for handling big amounts of files. Also using both raw and rgb adjustments helps me to achieve the desiered tonality. CS plug in isn't so good in that sector, but in some cases i saw better color definition. I don't have any expirience on phase one or nefs.
  4. In several occasions i have to take photos and video simultaniusly.

By now i was using film so i used studio flashes for my work and

tungsten for video. Now i have switched to digital eos 1d MkII and

thinking to unify the lights of photo and video. Tungsten doesn't

pleases me, so i'm thinking of using cold light (fluorescent)for

instance. At most i photograph people. Issues i must consider are

lighting quality and portability. Thank you for your time.
