This one is a little soft,did you use a tripod? if you did, did you turn off the anti- shake?I like what you were going for though.

I like this shot,it has a lot going for it. May I suggest that instead of a fill flash you could try adjusting you EV and you would have about the same effectI have the 7D and rarely ever use a flash unless I want to get a good catch light in a birds eye.
