Love your use of space and the mellow change in tone.

I had the opportunity to be on a photo shoot with a photographer by
the name of Patrice Halley recently, and was pleasantly intrigued by
his willingness to shoot landscapes into sunlight - and even with
subjects crucial to image content in the foreground - and use that to
create atmosphere. So I thought I'd try. What do you think of this
kind of approach?

Beautiful, soft hues - great use of the light.

Really nice composition - aside from the reflections, I particularly like the way the whole image is 'weighted' by the rock in the foreground - it balances the mountain nicely.

Thanks, Carol - that's very kind of you :-)

Critiques and feedback are most welcome, and would be very much
appreciated. Thank you.

I think I like this one better than the B+W version - the mood is carried across so well with the blue-ish hue.

very clever

These lights are interesting - it's like they're forming sand dunes, or something similar... great abstract.

Everything about this is intriguing and asks you to think of a story behind it. Really nice detail across the whole tonal range as well...

Feedback welcome and appreciated, thank you.

I love the gradual tonal progression from left to right, and the way this is broken up by the white trunks. Great observation and composition.

I feel like I could sit 'inside' this photo for a very long time.
Really nice idea, and really well executed.

Beauty and Danger of Web

Love this photo - the magical world of light refracting through the water beads; the sense of wonder conveyed by the out-of-focus elements; and the hint of underlying danger with the spider. Really well done.
