Alan,
I agree about the limited depth of field of the focal lens, but if I take a picture of a tower from 30-40 meters with f/4, I should not have problems with the depth of field. I expect the whole tower in the focus area.
ciao, Max

Hi All,
I've a problem with my Canon 70-200 f/4 but it's not clear to me what
it is due to. I'm using a digital camera, Canon EOS 300D, and I'm not
sure if the problem is the lens or the camera. Please have a look at
the posted pictures and give me your opinion.

In the first example the bottom part of the left tower is correctly in
focus while the top is out of focus. That's very starnge since the
object was very far and it was on the same "focus" level. This picture
was taken with 200mm and f/4.
The same problem with the 2nd picture. The top part of the cupola is
out of focus, even if the picture was taken very far from the the subject.
Can anybody help me to understand what the problem is?
Thanks in advance

Beau,Vandit, thanks a lot for your answers.
Let me get this straight since I'm not sure to have correctly understood the point. The quality changes between a 160 DPI picture and 96 DPI when I'm going to print the pictures.
Then, if I wanna print both pictures on an A3 format (I'd need a 300 DPI picture at least) I should expect a slightly different quality between the 2 prints. Is that correct?
thanks again

Hi All,
I'm using a Canon EOS 300D and I've just realized a different DPI
according to the quality setting of the camera. The strange thing is
that, the pictures taken with "high" quality the DPI are 180 for an
average file size of 3Mbyte. On the other hand, when I convert a RAW
picture to JPG (using the Canon tool FileViewerUtility), setting the
top quality, I get a 4,5Mbyte file with ONLY 96 DPI!!!!
Does somebody know what the reason is? Is that a wrong setting of my
camera? a conversion problem?
Thanks in advance

Hello All,
I'm planning a trip to Berlin, Germany, and I'm looking for a
store/shops where to buy a canon lens. Could anyone point to me which
stores have the best prices?
thanks in advance, Max
