Very nicely done. Personally, I would prefer a more creamy, out of focus background, but that means a shallower DOF, and that often leads to the subject itself not entirely in focus. I often prefer a less distracting background, even at the expense of getting 100% sharpness on the main subject.

Very nice image. A bit over sharpening for my taste. The background would look great were it not because of the distracting light to dark transition line right in front of the insect. Otherwise, excellent shot.

This is probably one of the best Vernal Fall photos that I've seen. The weak water flow gives it a totally different mood compare to spring time.

Wow, this is a great angle. Never see the two falls from this vintage point. I was at the park in spring of 1998, the waterfalls were magnificent.

Very nice photo. I was at Yosemite during spring of 1998 and the waterfalls were just magnificent. We were probably standing at the same spot.

Panda, because of its black and white fur, is quite difficult to expose properly. When I use Fuji Velvia and expose for the highlight, spot meter the brightest white fur to +1.75 stop, the black fur is barely visible on the slide, and the scan won't pick up the detail. Using Fuji Provia 400x, with its less contrasty characteristics, solves the problem quite a bit. Here's a shot of Tai Shan's parents using Provia 400x.

Great shot. Greeting from his distant cousin Tai Shan at the National Zoo. Click on photo to see other Panda shots.

Two suggestions. I would wait for the cloud above you to clear a bit so the foreground is not in the shade, that will bring out the lake's color. Next to this vantage point is the rock pile, If you had gone up to the rock pile, you can avoid the dead drift wood at the bottom of the frame and include some live pines as foreground. See the link as an example.
