Over here in Canada this bird is known as Red-throated Loon.
I love Loons, my favorite one is the Common Loon it looks and sounds amazing.
Your picture here is nice, Background is not to great, but the bird looks great and sharp.
You have a lot of very good pictures. Keep up the good work. Take care.

Almost identical to Davids http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=7515845
You two must shoot a lot together. Nice picture, if its a crop I would give more space below the Pigeon and a bit more on the left side and might take some away from the right, just depends would have to see to make sure, but what you have here is very good too. Also I might brighten up the picture a wee touch but not as bright as Davids.
Anyway you have very nice stuff. All the best. Take care.

Very nice as always Marc, Your pictures would be wonderful poster size. These small sizes on the web do not do them justice. The bolt adds a special touch to the picture way to go.
You are very good at what you do. All the best, take care.

(Comment only) Nice sharp Picture of the Bird. Background is not very great. Maybe next time try to pay more attention to whats in the background. For this picture I would have bent or sat down so that I got the dark background only if possible and hopefully the bird would find you interesting while doing this and look at you in return. :o) Anyway bird looks great keep up the good work. Take care.

I took a picture of these guys last week Benjamin when on holiday out west in B.C.
I think it looks good. You should not upload such big picture sizes its hard to see the whole picture at once.
Take care.

P.s. I just put my take on this picture in my folder if you wish to see it.
