S Spencer-
The 20d works very well in low light, particularly in comparison to digital cameras that I used previously. It does capture more than your average detail- I believe that I shot this at 400 ISO, but I can't recall. Up to 1600 the 20d does very well (there is some noticable noise at 1600, but this can be removed in post-procesing.)

I took ths one in Plaza de Mexico this February. As the bullfight
begins late in the day (5pm) the shadows are quite pronounced.

A few weeks beforethe Fulton Fish Market closed, I decided to take my
brand new 50mm f1.8 on a test run there to try some low-light, non
flash photography.
this one is a little blurry, particularly around the edges. Do you
think that adds or detracts from the scene?

Excellent Shot. I would prefer the watermark somewhere else.

I went down to Fulton fish market to try out my new camera, and played
with some interesting setting combinations: the way this shot tunrned
out really surprised me. ISO set for 1600, f22, 30 second exposure.
To me it looks sort of like it was painted. I'm not sure if that's
good or bad, what do you think?

Took this one after a fire down my street. I would appreciate your input.
-
Took this recently after a house on the next block caught fire. (we
live in row houses, so fires can get out of hand pretty quick).
Unfortunately, I slept through the actual fire, but I got some
interesting shots after things had wound down.
Luckily, no one was hurt. Just goes to show you shouldn't smoke while
varnishing a hardwood floor,

I myself think these two ladies are sharing a private joke. What do
you think?

Constructive comments would be much appreciated. Thanks,

This photo makes me very sad. The photo itself is excellent, but these stacks have since been pulled down.

It just goes to show how important it is to document these fine industrial age buildings. Even though my shots aren't as good as this one, I am keeping them all. This is one photograph that can never be reproduced.

Yes it's someone else's art. So are you. Or any other human or architectural subject that we shoot.
Personally, I think its a cool bit of graffiti, rahter than an excellent photograph.
-
One of the more clever bits of graffiti that I ahve recently seen.
So, is this street? I am not sure, nobody with worn out shoes.

Photographing something doesn't necessarily mean you endorse it.

These 3/3 ratings must be from robots. This is a damn diffucult shot to get- I know because I tried to do it last night and it didn't come off half as well. Very nice job. Could you give us some technical details as to how you did it; exposure time, ISO setting, etc.
Thanks,
Ryan

Absolutely wonderful capture. It's interesting to me that the three sisters, while in many ways similar (such as the makeup, etc.) have such dissimilar reactions to the photo, and totally different looks. Very nice.

Actually, I didn't stage this shot. It's from the NYC Pride parade that went down 5th Ave. last weekend. I just couldn't resist posting it.

I finally get to post in the "nude" category! Yay!

I really like this one, particularly the framing of the statue and flag with the out of focus tree.
