  1. My 1ds shows 5 folders on my LCD screen. How do I delete the folders I do not want. Also,

where do I look on the camera to see how many actuations have been taken by this camera

as I have Just purchased this camera used.

    Thanks Ron

  2. I got a used copy of the 1ds camera. I was advised in this forum to keep my lenses prime!

    canon offers 16-35 2.8, 24-70 2.8, 70-200 2.8 is usm.

I know this is a wide range of lenses. I like the idea of the is with the 70-200 but it is really

    expensive. Alot of people have f4 lenses,does f2.8 vs f4 really make a big difference . I take a

wide range of pictures including bird pictures . I will spend the money if needed on the 2.8 is

I just need some information. this will be my first L lens .

    Thanks

  3. I just picked up a used 1ds and was using a 300d before. I wanted a camera that I will not

have to change for a few years. I want to start to upgrade my lenses. I would like to have

    sharper lenses.

I have a 75-300Is usm, 50mm 1.8, 28-135 Is usm. I was at the canon dealer and I looked at

these 3 lenses. The thing I am stuck on is buying a lens with 2.8 or buying the new lens with

f4 or the 17-40. The 24-105 has a longer range but the 24-70 is a 2.8. Does anybody have

any other sugestions as I only want to spend $1000 to $1200 . Photograghy is my hobby and

right know my passion. I do use my 28-135lens alot. Ron a

  4. I have been taking photo's for a year and a half know and have a

300d camera.I am thinking of getting an L lens. I have the kit

    lens, a 50 1.8, 75-300 is, 28-135 is. I inquired about the 70-200L4

and the dealer said get the 70-200-2.8 is. I also thinking also

about the 100-4004L.I take photo's anything from flowers to birds in

the bay. I find that I cant get the close shot I want with the 300is

    of birds in the water.

The last thing is a lens to give me sharper images.

    Thanks Ron A
