Dear all,
As a serious member of this site I critique and rate pictures only
after having looked at it for 1 or 2 minutes minimum. When I rate it
I also give very often a comment.
My question is the following. It looks to me that lot of people here
are NOT serious and are not serious photographers. When I look at a
picture of mine published in a local magazine and highly appreciated
for the quality I see here a rating varying from 2/2 till 7/7!!
Something must be done here.
Is it possible to oblige (through the technique of ifnot=then)
readers here to leave a comment when given rates under 5? or 4?
Thanks, Frans Hartman

Thanks for all reactions. For Mark....I did not say that everybody MUST like my pictures! Everybody is different and that should be. But a reaction in the form of a critique when ratedlow (or high!) would give me the chance to improve my qualities. I don't think this has to do, as you wote, with attitude. If you would take time to take a tour you would see that in my demand for critiques I always encourage people to say the truth. But again, it is strange to see that pictures (not only mine!) are rated from very bad to excellent. And I think that shows that non-professionals are mixing up with professinals rating the pictures. And once again, I don't mind when people would rate mine very low, as long as I can learn from it and make my work better!
thanks again!
