<p>I recently picked up a used Epson R2400 that has third party ink cartridges installed. I intend to replace them all with genuine Epson inks but I'm wondering if I need to purge the old ink out? Any useful advice would be most appreciated. Thanks.......</p>

<p>Chris, I have a R280 and this works for me. I usually print on Epson Ultra Premium Luster and it comes out perfect each and every time, however, I use a PC and not a Mac:<br>
<p>To get a good print from Photoshop</p>
<p >1. In the Epson printer properties box main tab, select “best photo”, choose paper and size, check print preview box.</p>
<p >2. In the advanced tab, be sure to uncheck “high speed print” and to click next to ICM. Do not check the “Off no color adjustment box. Leave it blank. Then click ok.</p>
<p >3. In the Photoshop print tab, click document.</p>
<p >4. Color handling =Photoshop manages color. </p>
<p >5. Printer profile= Stylus Photo R280 R290 Series</p>
<p >6. Rendering intent=relative colorimetric</p>
<p >7. Check black point compensation. </p>
<p > <br>
Hope this works. </p>

<p>Jerry, the Tokina 11-16mm is rated very high and so far I believe, rightfully so. It's built very solid and is tack sharp. I was on the waiting list at Adorama for four months. I almost gave up hope and was poised to buy the Tokina 12-24mm but I stuck it out. Glad I did.</p>

<p>I also have to "go to bat" for the Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8.............excellent lens.<br>
Also the Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8........simply remarkable.<br>
I use them quite frequently on both my D300 and Fuji S3 Pro!</p>

I'm in the process of building my first website (for portraits and weddings) and I'm
having trouble deciding which webhost to go with. I like the online print ordering
feature offfered by smugmug but I'm not too crazy about their templates. I've been
practicing building a site on portfoliositez.com and I like their templates better but
they don't offer online printing like smugmug. Is there any way I can "enjoy the
best of both worlds"? Any opinions, advice or personal experience shared would
be very appreciated. Thanks!!

Yep, it was used and picked up from an auction site. Is it price- worthy to try to have it repaired?

I picked up an Adorama Flashpoint 620 strobe that does not function properly.
When it powers on, it takes a while to build up a charge to flash. When it does
flash, it takes a while to recharge again. Furthermore, I cannot fire the flash
at more than 1/2 power. Any insight, assistance or constructive advice is
appreciated. Thanks!!

thank you Diane and Tom, I appreciate your input!

I like to print my own work from time to time and I would like input from
others who do their own printing and are willing to reveal their favorite mat
printing paper for both color and bw. I don't have a fancy printer, just an HP
7350. Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

Thanks guys for all your input, it's much appreciated. I believe I'll go with NX......I'll give the trial version a go at it!! I failed to mention that I use Photoshop CS2. In the interim, I will also try Randal's concept!

download my shots to the computer. I shoot mostly in RAW format. Any input on
