Absolutely right, Vince. It's less of a problem in the bigger version and I even made a large print for his mother.

It's easy to go too far with these enhancements but this one is just right. It adds to the vintage feel. Lovely.

I have a thing for old doors and would give anything to bring this one home! I love this photo but the one of the child with the man's hat is a close second. Beautiful, colorful portfolio.

This would make a wonderful background for a composite.  Make two layers and set blending mode to "overlay" and see what you get.

Yes, Pierre. The model is inserted in the background which was a daylight shot. The background has been manipulated but not with HDR. I attended a workshop with Joel Grimes... wonderful teacher and inspirational (he's colorblind!). It is, indeed, very different from my other work but I already had the two photos to work with and now I have the courage to try something new. :)

Thanks, Jim and Ricardo. Indeed, Jim, he bolted to his mommy immediately after, and it was the last shot of the day. He was trying to be sport about the overalls which he didn't like. The hat was featured in his daddy's two-years-old photo.
