That's the one, I like most in your portfolio. The highlight and line of the plant from the right covering the biker. really great. congratulations Richard

Hi Joanna,
that`s the one of your portfolio that catches my attention most. the lighting and the look of the girl on the right (that moves the listening girl a bit to the background IMO) and the imagination behind. What are they thinking, planning, talking about, ...
great!!! picture and very nice hp. good luck with your dis.
congratulations

Hi Paul,
you`re completely right, but the original looks quite contrasty (I used a Multigrade 1/2 contrast filter for enlargement on a durst condensor enlarger and it seemed quite "strong"). the scan does not match the original.
What bothers me a bit is the unsharp foreground left, which maybe would have been better with a WA lens and better DOF (but anyway, I can?t afford a Distagon right now).
Thank you for your comment, I`ll try to enlarge more contrasty and look what it?s like.

Hello Aliin,
I recognised the landscape (i'm working half an hour away from there). Did you go the little trail you see in the center left to "Edelgrieߢ? There is a phantastic landscape on the other side of the mountain. I'll post some pics when my season is over and I'll get back to my darkroom.
congratulations for the pic. i like the tones.

I like the colours and the "smoothness" of the shot. would be perfect to hang it onto a wall in the living room. a quiet photo with lots of expression. congratulation - Richard

Reinhard, it was a little 6-legged black shiny living thing crawling around, looking for shelter in the rose

critiques welcome, thank you
the model was searching a little bug in the rose, so i caught her
concentrated in the search.

great lighting, the only point is that the picture looks cropped a little on the bottom, the ear is too close to the edge of the photo, imo. dark background works perfect here, good work. rgds richard

luis,
me gusta esta photo, es muy sensual, no tuviera la expresin así £on ojos abiertos. tiene moviemiento, accin y paz al mismo tiempo. disculpa mi mala espaol. thanks for sharing - richard

I'd like the background completely dark, the water and lighting of the drops is great, also the darker foreground right gives a 3d atmosphere. little bit more dof at the foreground left is all I could mention to make it perfect - inspiring - thanks for sharing

great shot. i like especially the feathers of the left wing, more dof would have given maybe more sharpness in the front if the bird wouldn't have been in motion. how about darkening the background more, so that you've got only the bird on a black background? as you couldn't have arranged the shot it's near to perfect. congratulations Richard

a great composition. the different look on the three faces. the picture is telling a whole story. a really classic and touching shot without the needs of modern gimmicks (i like the old style, don't "correct" it in PS). thanks for sharing.

the posure and the high contrast is very good in the photo. just the grass is "too green" for me. I think the photo lives from the strong colours, it really pops up and raises attention. congratulations
