Hey Rick... I have an 80-200 f/2.8 AF-S "One Touch" or "Push Pull" which I bought long ago for hand held sports panning, and "zooming" (pulling the focal length during exposure with camera on tripod) to create illusion of motion.

It works great for that.

I am doing more landscape work now and would prefer a lens that has a tri-pod collar.

Let me know if this lens is what you're looking for?

Hello Philip... I'm not sure if you've gotten the right answer yet, but I have the same lens, ("One Touch" I'm assuming) which shares one barrel for both focus and zoom.

According to Nikon, there is no factory collar for this lens... there never was.

I am looking into getting a custom one made, but there is little real estate on the lens to work with.

I'll let you know if I find a source.
