Thanks for all your helpful responses.7D is really an excellent body,I may accustum myself to its change.

I used 40D formerly and recently I bought 7D,but to my disappoint, the focusing-signal in viewfind turned out to be LCD's instead of LED.this made me uncertain if the focusing-point is in object in my snap shot. Then why this change?the LCD's more durable than LED?

Yakim, don't put hopes on "may be".If you take landscape's,the corner will be important and the lens is not fit,but I only take street's and regard aperture as importance.

Besides sharpness, primes usually have advantage of weightness and bokeh ability.

--"My 28/1.8 had very soft corners wide open (when I buy a fast lens it is mainly in order to use it wide open) and flared awfully.
I'd be interested to see the same test performed a little differently: Shoot both wide open and show us the corner crops, not the center ones. "--
As Yakim had said, the corner is not so satisfied. Now I put the calender at the corner and compared:

--"Try your test again- 2.8 - 4 - 5.6 - 8 and see what you get. A lot of CA in the EF 28mm f/1.8"--
I tried and do find some CA wide open but there is none when stopped down;-)
