Check out the Microtek 120TF, cheaper than both the Nikon and the Imacon. My feling would be it's not as good as the Imacon, but definately as good as the Nikon. Worth checking out.

Does any one have experience with the Microtek 120TF. I'm getting
great positive scans out of it but when I do a neg ( all my neg work
is either Fuji Reala or NPH ) the quality is crap. Heaps of noise
and lots of break up in the shadows.
I'm using the Microtek software and scanning Xpan negs, which I
can't figure out how to do using Silverfast?
If you have experience with this scanner/ software combination
please let me know.
