I saw these clouds after a severe thunderstorm in Easton on Friday evening. Same clouds? I think so! Lucky you (I didn't have my camera...)!

Part of the beauty of Antelope Canyon is in its mystery, which is
impossible adequately depict in pixels, and the feeling of reverence
one has when exploring that sacred space. I hope this image conveys a
small part of that. When I visited recently, there was a young Navajo
man playing the guitar. The memory of his haunting piece echoing
through the chambers will stay with me for a long time.

This was taken in an area called White Pocket, a more remote location
on the Paria Plateau in AZ. Digital IR converted to b&w. Comments
appreciated, and thanks for viewing my image! ~jackie

No filters involved. This is a photograph toned in Photoshop and painted in Corel Painter X, mostly using the grainy water technique, the Sargent brush, and some acrylic variant brushes. This is the original:

. I think b&w brings out the contrast and textures more, butI'm still torn on which version I prefer. Comments and suggestions
appreciated.

Thanks, John! I am falling in love with IR. There is still such a sense of delight and surprise when I see how the colors react to the infrared glass. It also extends the day, since it seems the best time for IR is in the harsh mid-day light when all the "golden hour" photographers are taking their naps. ;)

Eduardo, thank you! Your b&w landscapes are stunning! I'm honored that you took the time to comment on my image.
