We did do some other set ups with her face showing but for this one I chose not to.

The main reason was that she asked for the 'focus' to be on her bump and not her. I like the crop as it is as your eye is drawn to the curves of her belly and not distracted by her expression, hair etc etc.

    Fashion Shoot

    Hi Guys,

A sample from a recent fashion shoot I did. Shot with ring flash on a D300.

The location was a car park so we were effectively outdoors and it was only

just above freezing. The model did a great job!

    Thanks for looking.

Thanks for taking your time to leave a comment. I always love the way different people see images differently. One of the main reasons I like this shot is BECAUSE of the highlight on her left eyelid. Different strokes I guess...

    Hi guys,

A nice low key portrait I took for a model portfolio. Let me know your

thoughts on improvements or if you just want to say how good it is!!

    Cheers

  1. Hi,

A shot I took from an ad campaign for a local clothes designer. First

time i'd used ringflash and very nice it was too!! The clients liked the

really over sharpened look, I know it might upset some purists on here!

Let me know what you think.

    Cheers

This is one of the results from my first portrait session with a (semi) pro

model. Seemed to go quite well. I was pleased with the results anyway!

I would have liked this a lot more if the crop hadn't been so tight to her face on the left side. Nice colours and 'feel' to the picture.

    Hi,

A shot I had planned for a while for when I was out with my little

girl. The leaves were added afterwards in PS (I knew I had no chance

of getting them to fall nicely for real!)

    Let me know your thoughts....

    Hi,

My first attempt at this sort of photo. I'm pretty pleased with the

end result. It took a lot of attempts!! It's good fun though, I

    recommend trying it.

  2. Hi, I've just been for a weekend away near Tayvallich in Scotland. A

beautiful part of the world which I can recommend for a visit

(remember the anti midge spray though!). Let me know what you think

of this shot of one of the numerous Loch's up there.

    Thanks,

    David

A flower from the garden. Hopefully it did not die in vain! Let me

    know what you think.

One question for you, the original jpg viewed on my PC looks sharper

and with less facets. Is there some sort of processing done when you

    upload your photos?
